Hi everyone
It is the last week of term. I hope you've all shown your parents your reports, Start thinking about the reading, writing and maths goals you would like to focus on for next term!
Post a comment about your Term 3 goals on our blog
This week is the first time we've had student led conferences.
You are to show your parents some of the work you are most proud of and tell them why you want them to see it and, your next steps with this.
We will talk about this on Monday.
Have a lovely, restful holiday too. Next term, a lot of our learning will be around our school show topic. It will be very exciting!
Thanks for working hard this term. I am proud of all of you!

term 2 Week 10
Book Week
Wow! What a busy week we had last week with so many things happening. I loved how everyone joined in to everything.
Here are a few photos of the week.
Monday's Book CharacterParade
You all looked great. I think Edward looks especially like Tintin!
Of course, we ended the week by coming to school in our PJs. A visitor would have thought it very strange to see a whole bunch of children doing Jump Jam in their onesies!
Please write a very good sentence to describe your favourite part of Book Week as a comment for our Blog. Some of you have never commented yet!
ART
We managed to add some more to our David Bromley Wondering Portraits. I hope we can get lots more done before the holidays!
Comment on what these people have done well!
A BIG Thank You to Hugo for bringing in his amazing kumara. It was given to him by Simon and is growing much faster than the one in our classroom!
Good luck to those of you who are presenting your speeches again on Monday: Gabi, Rocco, Sofia, Annabel, Arabella and Louie!
Maybe you could add a comment about the speech you most enjoyed listening to and why.
SPEECHES
Another Big Thanks to everyone who shared their speeches last week. It has made it very difficult for me to choose 2 finalists!!Good luck to those of you who are presenting your speeches again on Monday: Gabi, Rocco, Sofia, Annabel, Arabella and Louie!
Maybe you could add a comment about the speech you most enjoyed listening to and why.

Speech week
SPEECHES
Thank you to the children, Aimee, Remy and Sofia, who started off last week with their speeches. We all could tell that you had put a lot of hard work into these. I can't wait to hear the rest of your speeches. Good luck! And don't forget your day.
Week 9
It is a very busy week next week with:- Book Character parade on Monday
- Photos on Tuesday, Grandparents' Day on Wednesday
- Matariki Disco on Thursday.
You have a lot to remember !!!
Making POSITIVE Choices
I am really relying on you to do this next week. Life Ed was all about how the choices you make influence how others see you. Don't be a person who makes the negative choices. Let's all take care of each other and try our hardest to make positive choices in this busy week ahead.
Science Sunset Investigation
Have go at making your own sunset at home. See if you can explain what and why it happened on a comment to us.

Term 2 Week 8
Science Expo
Congratulations to anyone who shared their science thoughts and explained what they have been investigating at our Science Expo. I could hear and see lots of budding scientist in our room.
A special thanks to Jade for being very organised and bringing bubble mixture. This made the afternoon even more exciting as we could show our families about white light splitting into colours.
Here are some photos;
Observing what happens when bubbles are blown. |
Bounding, travelling light. |
Scientists record what they have observed and try to explain what has happened. |
Can Myiesha show refraction? Is the arrow changing as she moves it? |
I'm glad our parents are wondering too!
Showing what happens when light hits a prism. |
Can we change the colours into white light? |
