Images from Arataki

EOTC 2016

What a great challenging and fun week we've all had!  Well done to everyone !
Look at these photos of Arataki and enjoy!
Ojas is watching the flame and checking that his team are cooking carefully.

Catherine got to cook hash browns because she couldn't eat the sausages.

  Holly is watching patiently.
This is us cooking sausages so they taste good.

We did relay races on what to bring when you go for a day tramp  in the bush.

Here are us all building stretchers for us if we have an injury in the bush walk.

Sybilla and Aleeza look proud of their team's work.

We all have had a go at building a group tent. Evie and Alfie collaborated well.

This is us in our tent when it was put up.                               Damar and  Jack look proud of their efforts.
We had to know all about using everything before we                                            could cook.
Here we are cooking sausages on pans and we used oil to light the camp stove.

It was so much fun when we cooked the                                                        sausages.
This is one group cooking their sausages. Wow they look so yummy!

This is us eating our sausages.

We  tramped through the bush until we got to Bob's Bush Camp then we saw 12 big weta.

We had to put up our tents by ourselves!
Here we are working together putting up our tents.
                            Hamish looks in control.
We learnt that a tent has a fly which keeps mosquitoes and
water OUT!!!
First when we put up our tent it started off hard but
then got easier by the second. Chenelle is reading the                             instructions with Dennis the ranger watching.

How do we put the fly on?

                                         This is hard work!!!
Joban is helping his team.

                                                               Teamwork is so challenging!
I wonder what Evie is thinking?

We all had a very tiring day. So tiring that some of us even slept on the bus on the way back to school!!!
After a tiring day at Arataki everyone was very tired and was wanting a sleep, even Berenger.
