Term 2

Term 2

Kia Ora Room 5

Welcome back to school.  I hope you have all had fantastic holidays and are rested and ready to take up the challenges that this term holds.  It is another busy term with lots of exciting learning opportunities.

Things to look forward to!

Cross country so don't forget to bring comfortable shoes for running in each day!  Start thinking about your goal for this.

Speeches - start thinking about an interesting topic that you can entertain and challenge the audience with.  This year our two class finalists present at the Senior school competition.

AFL - The Australian Football League experts will be in to work with our class at P. E. time.

Footnote Dance-The tutors are coming from Wellington again to work with us, hopefully to help us develop some ideas for our Term 3 school show.

Unfortunately, we only have a few more session with Simon and the Garden to Table programme, as it will soon be Room 6's turn.  Make the most of our remaining sessions.  A big thank you to anyone who came to school to water the micro greens!

We will continue on with our ANZAC Inquiry for the first part of the term.  Don't forget that next Saturday, 25th of April, is ANZAC day. (We get an extra holiday on the Monday because of this!) there will be lots of things happening in our country to remember this day.

Once again, welcome back to school.  I'm really looking forward to helping you all achieve the goals that you set last term.  It will be an exciting term.  We will all try to get better at using our Google drives this term too so don't forget to bring your own devices.  If you want to try to do your homework on this instead of your homework book then have a go.  Miss Williamson has helped me put the homework sheet into your drives under the folder titled OTHER.

Good luck with the term.
Miss Cowsill

P.S>

Here are the photos I took of the new paint job on the Grey Lynn RSA building.  I think it really makes us remember the importance of the first ANZACS!

Please post a comment if you have seen or heard of other things happening at the moment for the 100th Anniversary of the first ANZAC day.
